The Caterham Seven is a super-lightweight sports car produced by Caterham Cars in the United Kingdom.
The 1700 Super Sprint is a real classic with bags of character, famous for huge amounts of noise. Popping, banging and occasional flames from the exhaust were not uncommon making this a serious petrol heads car!
This is a 1995 year version rebuilt at future times, compared to official Caterham specifications this particular engine produces 140bhp/6750rpm and 164Nm/5250rpm a not common figure for Cosworth Crossflow 1701cc BDR engine. This same Cosworth Crossflow BD engine base is also used in RS1600 and other race oriented cars.
Front suspension as on all Caterhams is externally visible and exposed double wishbone with rear suspension being a live axle on this particular model. Now upgraded with a 1 way limited slip differential.
